    Posted: 04 Apr 2014 at 2:59pm
Hi all,
Does anyone no where I could get a track chain or set of tracks for my HD6. It has a broken bar on the side of one of the tracks and a piece missing. So I either need to get a different track chain for that side or repair the broken bar some how. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks
Joe

With 2 links removed they fit the HD5G or E also
Another 2 links removed and they fit the HD5B

This is what ebay listing D.Miller posted says...
"Allis Chalmers HD6B crawler right side track chain with pads ONLY.  We already sold the left side."

Say Coke, if a fellow has a chance to get HD6 truck frames, chains and sprokets, would it fit an HD5 and would it be worth the effort?

Thats all right Dave, I was thinking for that price, I was going to have to decide which route I was going to take to get THEM...tilll I reread it again.Wink

Now if I could get Cokes opinion on putting the longer truck frames from an HD6 under an HD5. LOL

Not sure of where the HD6 tuck frame mounts on front side , the rear mount would be the same as the 5 and 6 share the same rear housing .
Between B and G, HD5 machines or the E one would have to figure how the implements would mount. The B has that cross spring osculating tracks so each side is partially independent where the G uses a rigid cross member bolted to truck frame .
Believe the E was just a G truck frame on a B - giving it 1 more roller and 2 more track links.  The 6 added 2 more links - unsure if another roller was added also.
