Serial #8878 I found wear on the right steering clutch throwout bearing yoke (part # 620712). The yoke had been tipping in from the top far enough that it ground on the heads of the steering clutch mounting bolts. There were grooves worn in the yoke about halfway up from the bottom. Not a good place for wear.. I found some wear on the ball at the top of the yoke. I replaced the bushings for the trunnion pins. The throwout yoke wear pin at the bottom did not appear to have much wear, but I don't know how thick it was originally. Anyway, I don't see any other way to limit the travel of the yoke to prevent it from grinding on the bolt heads.. Any advice? |
