i was wondering where the serial # would be found on the h-3 or hd3 allis chalmers dozer or loader ? possibly the bell housing ? thanks randal

On most AC crawlers the S/N is on the back of the final drive housing.

Serial number stamped in the same place as the D series wheel tractors. Bell housing, LH side.

my hd4 has the serial no. on the bell housing left side. must have been on a hd3 and changed and put on my unit.. i saw a post that said the hd4 units were made from 1066 thru 1969 and serial numbers started in the 2000 range in 66. so i know that the hd4 serial is in front of the grill on the frame. thanks
