    Posted: 09 Sep 2013 at 6:58pm
Looking for information on how to remove a Lift Check valve from a spool valve on a 1963 Henry Backhoe ????
The IPC showes one Lift Check valve on each of the 4 spool valves of the 4 leaver hydralic package.  The Lift Check is an internal component of the spool valve and is located between the hose conections on the valve body.

It looks much like a freeze plug with a ring around it, however it has no exernal retainer or visible retaining fastener.

My Question is:  How do you remove the Lift Check valve.

Thanks in advance

Macon Rounds:  Is there a snap ring holding it in place?  If so am wondering if the snap ring has holes in the end so snap ring pliers could be applied to remove?

Who is the manufacturer of the valve?  Gresen, Hydreco, Prince, Bee-Gee. See if you can get any info off the valve bank

Anyone have a spool valve off a 1963 vintage henry Backhoe ?  It may just to  replace it.
