Just wanted to show off the (2) A-C "G" tractors I got......one of which we have been discussing already. Feel free to chime in with thoughts, sights, and opinions. I'm new to these little tractors and slowly learning.
THanks, Chase |

Just to clarify.........
Tractor #1 (hydraulic lift) runs well but smokes a little bit.
Tractor #2 (manual lift) does not currently run but has a brand new battery, cables, and starter switch. I presume it will not be something big keeping it from running. I bet that the auction people put all of that on there and just gave up on something simple because it acts like the battery is disconnected/bad ground. |

good looking G's. You'll appreciate the hydraulics; a nice feature.
might want to put a cushion on the seat of #2 |

Did anyone notice that the serial number boss area for both tractors is different?? The words "TRACTOR NO" appear at the top of the stamped serial number on one and at the bottom of the stamped serial number on the other one.
Why would this be different? Would it indicate a big difference in model year? I would not think the cast mold would change.

I like the front end weight on #2. Guess if the head cracks at the end of the field you have a spare.

wish I had a G or two. If you get tired of those send them east. I'm sure me or Joe could make them feel at home

We will see. Bought them to resale but they are my first 2 "G" tractors and have always wanted one. Not really itching to sell them right now.

hey.....I've got a "CA" and 4 pieces of original equipment for it. It is in nice original looking condition and runs like a top! I think it'll be for sale soon to fund another tractor find or two. I'm wanting to find another "G" at a decent price.

Those are nice.
The Allis G roundup is next weekend (14th and 15th) in Gadsden AL. You can get some good info about your G's there and meet a lot of great AC enthusiast as well. |

Does anyone have a feel for how many G tractors are still out there?
I get the impression a fairly high percentage of them have survived. Must be handy. |

All G's had the low gear from factory. Some don't now from being abused. The gear is in front of tranny and supported from one end only. Not made as a super low pulling gear. Designed for super slow cultivating. Another weak point was the drawbar bail bolted to engine. Pull from drawbar only, not the drawbar bail. HTH Tracy

On the Special Low in the G, the fork has/is beyond neutral.
Remove so you can see, be sure the transmission is it neutral, then pull the shifting lever out. Then with a good light and long screw driver you can move the fork to where it lines up with the other forks. Dusty

Side note..........the "G" tractors (and where the pictures were taken) came from the late Mr. Kilpatrick in Fairview, Tennessee. The book you see sitting on one of the tractors has a bunch of forum post print-outs from Yesterdays Tractors and some from this site. Maybe someone on here knew him and might know a little about the tractors and equipment I bought??
