I have an early l2 rice combine with spike tooth cylinder and floating beater. The beater decided to break the drive eccentric (for lack of a better word) and made itself a pretzel from there. I have a parts combine with a corn/soybean beater. Can I swap the two? The rice beater is 3/8 inch narrower and 1" less diameter.

It looks like I would have to trim the edges of the corn beater, but it looks like it would work otherwise. I didn't know if a rigid beater would interfere with a spike cylinder somehow or not. Thanks for you help in advance

If I remember correctly, you can go from floater to solid but not from solid to floater. MACK
