Here is a video of my D19D after don Bradley rebuilt it. The pistons, piston pins, sleeves, rings, turbo and injector tips are new, the pump was rebuilt, crank turned, newer used fuel cells, a newer exhaust manifold and thermostat housing. I need to get a taller exhaust stack to save my ears! I also have a nos Hobbs hour meter that is turned on by an oil pressure switch so I can keep track of actual hours on the new mitor
I can't figure out how to get a hot link but if you copy the following address and paste it in a new window I t will take you to the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0TNH4PFP_E&sns=em Edited by Michael Crowe - 13 Oct 2016 at 9:02pm |

I hope she gives you years of trouble free service! This rebuild was a little tough to do with none of the newer D-19 pistons with the valve relieve out there to be found, so we did the next best thing, milled the set of older ser # NOS D-19 pistons he had in-stock to work with the newer head/camshaft, then decked the block and re-cut the counter bores.
I think it turned out fine. [TUBE]s0TNH4PFP_E&sns=em[/TUBE] |

Impressive. I wouldn't want to have taken on that job when you can't buy the parts anymore it takes a real pro to make them out of something else. Very cool to hear it running. Definitely nice to hear a diesel that doesn't sound like the valves will explode like the old detroit we had in a truck here when I was a kid. Sounds great to me.

I just got the hour meter installed; I plugged the meter in to account for the 4 hours I had on it before I got the meter in. It runs of oil pressure so it should very accurately track the number of hours on the rebuilt motor.

This how the inside looked as it was built, note the piston tops and you can see the mill work done to them.

If you don't have low hanging trees you work under, also turn your rain cap around, and that should knock the sound you hear down at least a bit. It looks like it is reflecting towards you.

I got to look your tractor over when I stopped by Don's last month but didn't get to hear it run. Sounds pretty darn good.
