I have a WD45 and have been around them most of my life. The one I have now on a hard pull the right wheel makes a sharp snapping sound. I am wondering if the eccentrics are worn bad enough that they are causing this. It has done this for sometime. I was using it today to pull my manure spreader full of wood up a steep hill to unload it, that is when I heard the sound. Thanks Dave

Yes the eccentrics are all tight and the rim locks are on the rails as they should be. I will check in the morning to make sure. Would it help to loosen all of them and retighten them?

If they have been set at one spot for a long time, you might try to change them to another spot for less wear on the rail. I've always thought extreme in or out were the tightest locations to be on, as the rail was stronger.
