i have an allis chalmers forklift model f40-24ps serial 43297000 with an oil pan gasket leak do i have to remove the steering and wheel cradle to get oil pan off it looks like i do so i need to know because i am not equipped to do that will have to farm out so i need to know please

there's a site called 'liberated manuals' or such, 1000s of manuals, you can probably snag a copy of the service manual from there( hint search 'allis forklift' ) that will knida narrow down the list..... while you're underneath, check the Ujoints on the driveshaft ! I don't think mine have ever been greased...PITA job to r and r !!
