Here is the 1967 Allis D15 that I found in a neighborhood barn last year. Finally this weekend, my grandpa purchase it, and about 6 pieces of equipment for only $2500.00.
The tractor hadn't been cranked in 5 years, and once we had it home, it was runnning in less than 5 minutes. Very nice running, but didn't let it long till get the fluids changed. Grandpa just wanted the pulley of the tractor, but they wouldn't seperate the 2. I am glad they didn't.

I actually discovered that I belive that it is a 1968 D15, s/n 25359, instead of a 1967. Am I correct? let me know guys. I found serial number info on tactordata.com that says they were built in 68', but the info on here stops at 1967.

Very nice find. Tell your grandpa I've got a pulley I'll trade him for it. Grins.
I'd love to have a D-15D. I've got 4 D-14's in various conditions to parts tractor up to 2 runners. None have been restored. I've always wanted a 15D but just never found one for sale around here. I know you'll enjoy it.

In the late 70's a friend of mine and his father shut down their farming operation. They had a D-15D series II (I think) tricycle w/power steering. The tractor had never done anything but pull a set of cultivators. They had a big enough operation that they basically had a tractor for every implement. The D-15 did the light duty 2 row cultivation, mainly tobacco. It was clean, straight and I wanted it bad. I couldn't go to the auction but I sent word that if it didn't bring what they wanted I was interested.
It sold for a bunch. I want to say about $3000.00 or more and that was a lot of money in 1978 or so for a used 40 hp tractor. I couldn't have afforded it at that price. I don't think my car and pickup truck together were worth that much. I had a 69 model GMC cabover twin screw road tractor that I only paid $3000.00 for about the same time.
That's the last one I've seen sold around here. I'm sure there have been others but I haven't known about them.

I heard that Michael. Worth every penny of that as long as it's running and got tires on it.

Whoah
I don't know my allis's well but looks to me like you got series II with good back shoes and a rare work light to boot.
What a find, I am still scrounging little stuff for my 15 II - and I am not gonna tell you how much I got invested in the belt pulley parts. ;-)

To have a 67 or 68 tractor with a belt pulley is rare. The belt pulley I found for my D17D was on a series 3.

That makes it a late 1968 less than 65 from the end of the D-15's.
|
|
3 WD45's with power steering,G,D15 fork lift,D19, W-Speed Patrol, "A" Gleaner with a 330 corn head,"66" combine,roto-baler, and lots of Snap Coupler implements to make them work for their keep.

Good find!!! Yes it is a 1968 model, only 299 D15 series II were build in 1968. Also about 5% of all D15 had factory points. Which makes it a rare tractor.

Sweet deal, looks like 6 bolt fronts? Got the rear worklight, brushguard, factory 3-pt, AND the important part is that the factory drawbar is still there! That piece of cast iron that holds the factory bar is almost like finding hens teeth! Took 3 years to find one for mine and still trying to fabricate the rest of the linkage to make the traction booster work.
