The truth is, I should have caught it by just looking at it. Time was short and this is the third cam (the first two were ground incorrectly) so I was in a bit too much of a hurry when I took it out of the box. Good thing I degreed it and found the issue vs. just slamming it home and starting the engine. Good thing also the issue was on the #1 intake lobe.
Moral of the story: don't go too fast and be sure to inspect every part prior to assembly. Don't assume everything is okay just because the vender shipped it to you. Edited by O.P.S. Heads - 10 May 2015 at 5:18pm |
