should the pto for a 616/620/720 rototiller be able to pull in half? Mine is stuck hard (not the shield) and I'm running out of ideas to get it free.

It may sound strange but I had one I couldn't get apart and soaked it good then I chained one end to my dually and other to my Silverado and pulled them apart , it worked for me. May not be everyones cup of tea. |

I put my brush hog pto between to metal support posts in my garage. Strapped one end to one post and a come along to the other utilizing 5,000lb soft straps. Tightened it up. I had been greasing and using Kroil on it for 2 days. I let it set over night. The next day I took a map gas torch and heated the stuck area. Within 10 minutes one click at a time it came apart without damage.

Be sure to apply a good grease, with added anti-seize, liberally to the inside of the slip yoke after you get it apart.

well i got it apart. hard to tie 1 end to a railed tie fence post with a cable clevice and the other to the skid loader in the same fashion. Came with a pop but its wierd, the shaft is rust free and greased.

I'm wondering if you are right on it being slightly bent. I will not slide together fully after pulling it apart
