I like many of you on here have had rims rust out around the valve stem from calcium chloride.  Right now my main concern is one of my WD45s, I was wondering what your opinions are on whether to fix the rims replace the tubes and keep the chloride or should I consider replacing it with rim gaurd.  I have to break down the tires anyway to fix the rim but I am considering just replacing the tube and putting the chloride back in and then watching it carefully.  I figure it took fifty years to rust out the first time so if I watch it I should be able to keep the rims around for a while.  I was also considering painting the rim with a paint like por-15 which is supposed to be able to stand up to battery acid things of that nature and should slow any possible rusting.
