I'm looking for a new set of track chains or a decent used set. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

Are 7” pitch, only two manufacturers ever used, Allis and IH, none exist new in USA and are as scarce as hens teeth as used.

I looked for months, finally found a 7G tractor that was derelict that had decent rails, it left here over two years ago to Davenport IA and was destroyed by new owner. Likely went to scrap.

Will add this, your G-b has segmented sprockets, IF can locate one that had Cat 6.906 Rails installed in the past and segments are still good can swap to that pitch.  Cat in the late 80s offered Segments for the Allis Sprocket Centers, they do not any longer and I do not have their p/n.

As to my old 7G
Tom Stutting of Commanche Ia bought it in Sept of 2020, he was dealing with memory issues then, later that year he developed full onset dementia and died April 2021.

The 7G was never repaired, no one I talked to after his passing knew where it went except his kids had it hauled off along with all the remnant parts.

Alright, so I took a chance, in Nov of 2021(Google Maps) the machine was still sitting at 417 S Washington in Commanche IA.  May want to look into that as had 90% life rails on it.  Is also a 4/1 and a rebuilt GP bucket for that machine, same mounting as yours.

Very easy to get upside down in the old tractors but if you are willing to expend the $$$ your undercarriage can be rebuilt; with some limitations. I have laid the groundwork to do exactly that for the undercarriage size you have.

If interested you can PM me on this site and we can discuss, but it would be less expensive if you could find a used u/c. As mentioned they are getting scarce.

Thanks,
