Rebuild might be a bit of an understatement. Wow. I'll bet there are a lot more pieces in an All Crop than anyone ever dreamed!

So as to beg the question...
But actually, as I tore down the pieces starting in late summer, I painted those that I could as long as the weather held out.
As it got colder, it became less practical so they just got a prime (light grey ones)
The dark grey pieces were done by the sandblasting people, its a powder coat type of primer.
In the future I think I will have ALL the frame pieces powder coated prime.
The whole machine will get a PO topcoat.

Its for a customer of mine. Supposed to have it done by Summer.
Progress will be slow as its more of a R&D/marketing project that is partially funded by the customer. I have to come up with the rest of the $$. That means I have to sell parts in order to move this along....So if you need allcrop parts, NOW is a GREAT time!LOL!
Oh I should add that this is NOT the $12K job I mentioned a few weeks ago. I actually turned it down as I had doubts I could turn it around as fast as they wanted (bummer!!) Edited by TomYaz - 29 Dec 2010 at 8:51pm |
