Ok head scratcher...

Two Saturdays ago my wheat was 18.7%.  Had almost a full week or scortcher temps, with some rain on Friday. The next day, this past Saturdayt,, moisture is....%18.7...Now when I did this test it was in the afternoon after everything seemed up from the rain.  Another test on Sunday---18% or so.  However, late Sunday some a bushel of grain I harvested to test the combine was sitting in the sun. It went from 19% to 10% by days end...I wonder if the the rest of the wheat is now under 14%. I took a sample home to test.
BTW, the lodged wheat I sampled Sunday was 13%..

Seems to me any little rain raises havoc...any advice?

Ok just tested the sample I brought home...%13.7

So it seems the rather small rain bumped my moisture up 5% and didnt go back down for approx 48 hrs...makes sense?   Would a portable grain aerator in the gravity wagon allow me to harvest this and dry that rain moisture out if I have this again?
