I'm working on a book about the history of speed skating in Wisconsin.  Part of that history is a look at the recreation that various industrial plants provided for the employees.

I saw one small article that said Allis-Chalmers had a speed skating "team" in the Great Depression.  That speed skating team, apparently, then was turned over to the West Allis recreation department in 1935. The official colors of the speed skating club are the AC blue and orange.

Does anyone on this forum have any old scrapbooks, newsletters, program books or anything that would have any history of AC's early recreation leagues?  Specifically if they had an official speed skating team in the '30s.  Or, can anyone put me in touch with someone that may have personal knowledge of this?  I've also seen the same type of references of International Harvester so if anyone has that information I would appreciate it also.

I've been to the West Allis Historical Society and the library, but I still feel there is more information out there.

Thank you, I appreciate any feedback and please contact me with any information.
