Went to the funeral of a great man this weekend.
The little farming community where I was born and raised lost a great man.
This man would drive way out on the country and bring kids to church and Sunday school every week.
He was as strong in faith as any man I ever knew.
He was the principal of our school, a coach and great teacher.
He and his wife raised 5 very good kids.
He was an army veteran and a great cook on elk hunting trips.
Never was a roof repaired, a barn raised or any community project completed without Herman lending a hand.
This is a very small unpopulated community yet at this funeral, the largest church in the county , the halls and adjoining rooms and clear out the door and standing out front were those people who’s life this good man touched.
It is good to see goodness recognized

Prayers for family and friends left behind.

Since God took this one home to rest, may others be moved to take up some of the slack he is leaving behind.

Sounds more like Godness recognized. Still a few men practice what they preach! God Bless his family and friends. Thanks for his service to our country. All men might be born good, but you have to work at it to stay that way!
No greater gift than healthy grandkids!

Prayers for his family and friends. Godly men are few and far between these days. The attendance at his service shows the amount of respect he had earned over the years.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

You can judge a man's character by who and how many show up at his funeral. Prayers for all concerned.
You only need to know 3 things to be a plumber;Crap rolls down hill,Hot is on the left and Don't bite your fingernails

Sounds like a GREAT man.  There aren't very many of them anymore.  He was a pillar of men and someone I would have like to have met.
Prayers go out to his family and friends.
He and God are probably talking about how you were as a child.....
