Can somebody from the Toronto area recommend a good place to rebuild pumps+injectors.I am fed up with the shops here in the east.I have an 8070 with a hateful American Bosch pump. The biggest problem I have with it is the erratic governer.I  get it fixed , it works great for awhile, then the problem starts again. You have no control of the rpm's once you get over 1750rpm.It will rev close to 3000 if you let it.Sometimes you can shut the tractor off, and start it up and work for the rest of the day ,no problem.I know nothing about fuel pumps but have been told this pumps governor is controlled by oil pressure.Don't laugh but sometimes when I change the eng oil, the problem shows up instantly.Any advice appreciated.AngryAngryAngry

I understand entirely how you feel.  I have had no luck with the pump shops near me and I am west of London.  I have and 8030 I bought at an auction in Alberta here for a couple years.  It has a rebuilt pump on it from a shop in Red Deer Alberta.  I have had 2 other 8030s and an 8010 and none of them ran like this one or started right for that matter.  I am sending my pumps to them to try from now on.  I have had two pumps right after rebuild (within a couple hours) literally self destruct and when I took them back they argued with me and said it wasn't their fault, both times they fixed them and wouldn't charge me for it, quit using them, next shop did the pump on my 210 and set it at 70cc, said right on the bill, ran it and it wouldn't pull nothing, looked in my service manual and it said something like 89cc, so I took it back, guy said my specs were wrong so I put it on the dyno, 101hp.  He set it right and then charged me for it, end of my business there too.  They are very hard to find some shop that is good and they all charge a lot of money for what they do I think.
pm me if you want the name and address of the Red Deer shop, it is the only placa I am sending a pump of and 8000 series by the way thai one runs.

Switch the AMBAC to Roosa or an Bosh. That's my thoughts but I have a good shop not far from me.

I would love to switch to a roosa, but then you have to switch injectors and fuel lines too,$$$$$$.My buddy sends his stuff to Sharma Diesel in Missisauga ,but he runs a dozen Mack trucks, nothing agricultural.Anybody heard of them.I get the ontario farmer,I will call that place and see if they know about the problems i'm experiencing. There's nothing worse than explaining to somebody what's wrong and you know they're not really listening and wont relay info to person who is actually doing the work.
