Hello, new to the forum.  I have a question and keep getting conflicting responses from people I know.  I thought I would turn to the A-C experts!  I have a D160 and am interested in a 4 row John Deere planter, with no-till.  Do you belive the D160 can lift and pull the planter?  I plan on planting for food plots, mainly beans, so the fertilyzer boxes will be empty.  Please share you experiences with similar set-ups.  I don't want to buy a planter that won't work, or have to trade for a larger tractor.  I will only be planting 15-20 acres / year.  Thanks!

Do you mean a model 160 diesel?  IF so, it is only about 45 hp.  Could have a hard time pulling a no till drill in my opinion.

Yes, a diessel 160.  But, not a no-till drill.  A 4 row planter w/ no-till cutters.  I think it will pull it fine, just wondering if has enough hydraulic pump to lift it.  Anyone?
