I am currently restoring a 110 manure spreader which will continue to have a job (I have horses) and not just be a pretty face.  I took the PTO driveline to a local tractor shop to have the universal replaced and in the process, they cut off the pto shield with a plasma cutter to gain access (I wasn't impressed).  My spreader is a very early prototype, serial no. 31, and the shield was originally one piece (now two!, lengthwise).  Sadly, finding original replacement parts is difficult.  The parts nos. are 527231 and 527230 for the later model spreader which should fit.  Anybody have any leads or suggestions?  I need a shield that comes in 2 pieces so that (preferably) I won't have to alter the drive line to put it on as I would with a one piece.  Thanks for your brainpower!

Post a pic of the PTO shield you need. Easier for folks that might have one laying around and not know what it fits. Makes finding one easier. Tracy Martin

You might want to check some of theAC mowers from that era. I think they had the Same guard
Set up on them.

Excellent idea.  Just scanned it from my parts catalog and will post this evening.

Sadly, I cannot get cut and paste to work with my iMac or I would happily post a parts book drawing of what I'm after.  I believe this two piece PTO shield was used on all AC manure spreaders and I suspect mowers.

I checked the part numbers you listed. They are the same for the newer manure spreaders. I have some NOS pto shields but there is no number on them. If you have dimensions of your shield i could see if these would work for you.    Matt

Thanks so much, Matt.  The driveline is at the welder's but I'll call and get the length and diameter.  I'm pretty sure if what you have meets the dimensions of the old part numbers, we could be ok.
