Ok guys I talked to the man on the D-15 series II tractor I showed you guys earlier. When he got the tractor it only had one side of the hood, and he had a time just getting a hood for it, so they made a hood for the tractor, as for the wheels, he has them, they are patched primed and ready to paint. He wanted to find a good used set of 26's because he was already deep into the tractor by that time, he couldn't find a good used set so he had a set of those combine wheels laying around and just stuck them on it. The original wheels and original one side of the hood go with the tractor. It did not have a draw bar on it when he bought it, apparently it was really ruff when he picked it up. It has new wiring and new electronics, and anything that was broke was replaced. He had a professional do the work. He claims he likes to buy old things and restore them. He sounded genuine to me.

26's can be very hard to find for these. It took me 2 years and a trip from AR to CO to get them. I had to make the trip anyway. Tires for a 17 are easier to find. My opinion says find a D17 that you like however I'd sure like to have that D15 sitting in my collection.

Playgun I have a D15 II Diamond girl. She was mistreated, beaten, abused and who knows what else before I acquired her. I got her in good shape now, combine tires and all. I love raking and tedding with her. I was surprised how economical she runs. I love her to death for her missions. If I was baling with kickers and wagons on my farm my D19 is minimal, and my XT now that she's all done and ready for work is better yet. But again I would never think of running a baler with her.
