I have always been told that most "universal" hydraulic fluids are much better than the stuff they had back when they were built.

Make sure the Universal Hyd Fluid is labelled compatible with "Allis Chalmers 821". There is also some new stuff showing up labelled "for older tractors". I have not checked the viscosity to see if it is a tad thicker but will be trying it in the D15II I use the most.

*My D-Series all tend to leak a little bit, but they are 50+ years old after all and at 100 F+ ambient, I am hoping to slow the leaks down until I get around to splitting em for new seals.
