..and my calcium.
This is my fault for waiting so long but I need a decent used 18.4 x 28. Apparently they aren't made anymore. I found one overpriced new one 4 states away but really want a used one because my other one is still OK (not too good but OK). I'm in Ohio. Thanks. For years I ran it with the fabric showing but now there is a bubble of tube showing. ![]() ![]() |

Looks like you need a "rubber welder" .. I would suggest a boot for temporary but that would be a lot of work for short time it would be used. That is hope it is short time till you find one.

I realize that you want to fix it the right way, but if finding a tire is a pain, I have used some flat baler belting and glued it in as a boot before. Lasts a long time. The calcium is going to make it a little difficult.

I may have a set of 18.4x28s available in the future. If you are interested, give me a shout, right now they are mounted on steel 8 bolt wheels(still on combine) that would bolt onto a WD. Still working on getting the whole machine. Tires appear to be very good and almost 100% tread, matched set. East-central MO.

tiretown.com has both new and used tires. I Would put two new on and not worry about it again. I put new tires on all my tractors and haven't touched them since. Even the C that I bought in 1986 put new tires on it then still great. they are not going to get any cheaper.

Firestone makes new 18.4 x 28s. I put a set on my 175 last year - not cheap though!

Leon...Might those tires that you have on the combine be 26" ? I know I have a matched set of 18.4 X 26 Firestone's on my D17 Series III and love them! Rick

CT is right...I had a rear tractor tire vulcanised several years ago locally and the guy guaranteed it for two years, which I thought was plenty fair. Back then it cost me 200.00,but it was a 16.9 X 34 tire with about 40% tread. Rick

the free tires were holding air and i plowed with them this spring, they are road worn but i would not be afraid to put them on a tractor if i needed a pair or a spare, but i realize you are looking at a day trip to pick them up.
