Interesting, I had a D-15/2 and never knew that front ends were offered in options. I assumed the Canes/HC's most likely had options. Nice tractor, miss mine.....

Looks like a Schwartz front end on there. Maybe the dealer put it on a NF model that was on the lot vs orderering one for a customer that wanted a WF model.

O.K. fellas, you are going to make me hunt and peck the story on this tractor. I knew the gentleman who purchased this tractor brand new, and he told me that he special ordered Myrtle and he had seen one of these axles and was impressed with it's looks, sturdiness was the word he used. When he passed away, I asked about purchasing this machine, and I had to wait a couple of years till it went through probate, and at that time I purchased it from the estate so I am the second owner and am sure of the facts, regardless of what some of you experts think......GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!

I'm willing to bet Myrtle has had a little cosmetic work done, front and rear hubs were the same color as the wheels from the factory. LOL

That axle does not look out of place at all. It is one stout looking unit. Those Series 2 D-15's are a perfect utility tractor. Short, snappy, and full of power! I am a stickler for originality, but I would not think twice about owning something like that. Dave.

Tool box looks like AC too. May not be vintage though. Dad had the same one on our WD45 for years. The mount is still bolted to the frame. My brother has the tool box with Allis Chalmers decal still on it and all the hand tools that Dad had in it. Still, a very nice looking working AC.

I had one just like that with a factory WF. I used to move a lot off round bales with it, front and rear. I wish mine had been like yours. Yours is a lot sturdier! Nice tractor! A D15 II will be my next purchase!
