I have a small Veggie plot. Friend of mine delivers cow manure but I have been thinking that I could benefit from some other form of fertilizer. I have mostly clay soil and lots of problems with powdery mildew and late blight. Any suggestions?

Yes you should have your soil tested and talk to someone about a balanced fertillity program. The cow manure adds organic matter but with clay soil it may not be decomposing fast enough and it could be harboring your mildew and blight pathogens.

Thanks Dave. Seems like my disease problems have been getting worse. Not sure what to do.

If you have it tested take your samples to someone that sends it off to a lab. They will tell you everything you will need.
