The inside of our d-17 rearend housing has a alot of wear where a shaft passes through it. It looks like the bushing got stuck to the shaft and wore the housing. The local machine shop said they could not do anything with it.

Which housing and shaft? The only shafts with bushings I can think of is the lift arm shaft or possibly the front of the rear PTO shaft?
