Bill Long's Birthday posts got me thinking. I found this forum in 2005 and have been hooked ever since.Consider you all family (Good and bad just like any family)Was just wondering and thought I would throw this out there.

When did the old forum start?
How long have you guys been on here?
Who would have posted first post? (Other than host,, Darrin?)
How did this Unofficial A/C Forum get started?

Lots of people have come and gone in the short 5-6 years I have been here.Maybe they still browse Dairyfarmer,Gloria,Brian Aus.etc,etc.

Lost a few also, Barb and Rich come to mind first.

Looking to the future was wondering if there are long term plans for this forum.Would hate to think it would ever end.

Finally I would ask that if possible donate some money to Darrin.Donate Button is above and I am sure with the tornado in Joplin and the cost of business constantly going up Darrin could use all the help he can get.Amount of money is not important. If we would all give a little it would help and insure the greatest website on the internet will survive.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year my ORANGE loving friends

I found it about 2003 when I was looking for parts for a tractor I was restoring. I have been around ever since. It is a great site! I appreciate all Darin has done to allow us to have the forum. I agree with the donate button. It is well worth a little just to have this great site!
Think for yourself and be your own expert. Be willing to change your mind; however, willingness to change your mind doesn’t mean that you will. Blindly following any path is the pinnacle of insanity.

Been here since 2003 ish, found it in High School while looking for info on my WD45.  Even managed to get in trouble with this website while in high school, does the name $hit hauler come to mind anyone? There was somebody with that name on the forum around that time and some people were on a bandwagon about making him getting rid of his name. Wasn't me but i accidently left the browser up during study hall and my buddies had some fun adding fuel to the fire so to speak but they were a little aggressive about it  lol .  Somebody on the website even traced the dang posts to our high school!  Good times  lol

If my memory serves me correct, I first found it in them mid 90's looking for information and parts for a 47 WC I had purchased. It's been home ever since. I am now on my 4th computer just so I can get my daily fix. LOL.  Of course that WC is now the Mother of 24 more AC's, but three of them are strictly parts.

Forgot to mention, Thank you Darrin for all you've given us. We would all be lost without this site.

I started on here in the early to mid 90's as well.  I was looking for any information on Allis-Chalmers as I had purchased a B a few years before.  Have met some great people through this site and have also picked up 7 more AC's.  Time sure flys when your having fun.  Take Care, Rick W.

A LONG time Pat!

I think I have been a member, since at least 1999, with the same name, Don(MI).

Met some really, really great folks and enthusiast from this site!

Edited to say, that I miss Barb too. She would always leave a hand written message, on my invoice with whatever I ordered from them, thanking me for doing business with them. Treated me like I was family!

I've been here since 2000. I rarely miss a day. I've made some good friends with people who I first met on this forum. It truly is a big family.  It took a little while to get used to, but I like the new format a lot better now.

I found this in early 2002 when I bought my first D 21 . KevininWA  (Kevin TeVelde) told me about it and have been hooked (More like addicted) ever since. I have bought alot from people on here, sold alot and have had dinner with alot of people all over the country on here. I have made some priceless friends on here and have laughed, cried and prayed for alot of folks on here.

When I lost my Dad in july of 2004, and when I told you about our sons Noah brain surgery in 2009, I really saw what a GREAT family I am blessed with on here. I got emails and phone calls from people that I did not even know that said they are praying for us or just words of encouragement. No matter how much I love ORANGE, it is more than the tractors that bring all you folks together.  Thanks to Drrin and all the others that make this site the BEST on the planet.

Take care, Darryl

I'm thinking 95 or 96 when I got my first AC, my D14.  Lotta good folks have come and gone, but there is always a great bunch of folks here.

The old forum was nice, but it got antiquated and needed updating.  Once you get the hang of the new one it's great, except if you don't visit twice a day, minimum, you miss a bunch of posts if you don't read back 2 or 3 pages!!!

Darin has always done a wonderful job, and deserves everyones business.  Now that it's Christmas time, be sure to stop by 3000toys.com and pick something up!

I got started a year and a half ago.  I was web surfing and just looking for Allis stuff.  Started reading and am amazed at all of the FAMILY on here and how the ideals that made this country are alive and well on this site.  The wealth of knowledge on this site is priceless for sure!!  That 'helping hands' approach to everything.  God Bless ALL of you and Merry Christmas.  Thank you SO much Darrin!! I don't know when I stumbled across this forum, I think sometime before 2001, and I know before 2003. If anybody can nail it down closer I'd appreciate it. Brian the Aussie and Barb were among the first to make me feel welcome.
As far as the old v new format.......hard to say as both have their pro's and con's....'fraid we can't have it all.
I am still confident of this;
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;

I believe I found this wonderful place sometime in the late '90's.  Don't post that much but read it every day.  Yes, there are a few that made daily postings that don't post as much anymore.  But, glad to see all the new talent too.

Thanks,  Darrin.

I came on board in the 90's sometime, had a few lapses during times when computer was down. I've done some business with a few folks on here that without the forum, never would have happened. When my teen-aged daughter (who occasionally gets a little flack for always being on facebook) took a look at this forum one night, Her remark was: "Well Dad, this is just a facebook for Allis nuts!" Eldon has been on here as long as I can remember. Darrel

Ted would probably know for sure.  When I found it around maybe 1994 it wasn't called The Forum. Can't remember the name. There were about 8 "members" with possibly 3-4 posts a day-sometimes none. Most were farmers.  I bought a 45 crankshaft and camshaft off a Kevin Paul that I met on here in 1995.  I believe he has passed away.  I was hooked from day one,  my wife will atest to this! It is shocking to see how it has grown and we all owe a Big THANK YOU  to Darren.

We got the internet in our home before 2000. I couldn't have been to much after that I typed in Allis Chalmers. There have been many funny stories posted. I has helped me find the most unfindable parts. I have seen fence line finds to the fully restored.  A baby deer that was white as new snow. I have seen pretty girls in swim suits. Been given a ride in a P51 Mustang and shown a two legged horse. I have seen or will see anything and everything that AC put orange on. Best of all, it has shown me alot of really good people. Thank you for this site.

Think I started about 1999 or 2000. Have met some very fine people through this Forum. As it has been said before it is like a family on here. Old goats like me don't take to change very well but once I got used to the new format I like it better. Still miss Barb and Rich on here. Also miss others who no longer post on here for whatever reason.

Thank you, Darin, for hosting this great site.

Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year to all.
