Ebay has a toy tractor that is a SE tractor of the one golf pro Arnold Palmer sat on in the TV oil ads. Ebay has it listed as an Allis Chalmers? Have you seen it? What is it?

I thought that was a tractor conversion on a Ford car.

He did a commercial for either TORO or motor oil on TV a few years back.  It looked more like a jeep/car than a tractor in the commercial.

I think his tractor ia a Worthington. It was made in Stroudsburg, Pa. and they used mostly Ford model T or A running gear. I think there were some Plymouth and Dodge running gear used also. They were built  as a golf course tractor to pull gang mowers. Bob

Mr. Palmer only had one Toro tractor. Mr. Palmer’s tractor was a 1947 Series 3 Toro General.

Pictured above, Arnold Palmer's tractor is a Fordson. It used to belong to his Dad, and it has been restored. Notice the special golf course wheels.

Redpower, That is not the tractor that was used in the commercial. The one in the commercial was a Toro which had a Ford 9N motor I believe.
Read about the tractor here  at the bottom half of the page: http://www.latrobecountryclub.com/uniquefeatures.aspx

Interesting. Thanks CTucker'.

So then where does that leave us regarding the eBay deal? The eBay deal must be some sort of scam?, or the seller is just full of crap?

Unit3, can you give us a link to this eBay deal?

We have one of those around here somewhere.  Still in the box.  I think we got it as part of a promotion for buying some Penzoil products back in the 1990's.  Not sure what it is.  Pretty sure it isn't an Allis.
