The hand clutch lever on this WD45 will fall forward. The brake-over or de-dent is not strong enough to hold the hand clutch lever back. What is the problem and the fix. The clutch works good, releases and hold fine.

You ought to get an owners manual, from one of the guys that advertise on here or from your nearest AGCO Allis dealer.

The breakover is at the throwout bearing. remove the battery oval cover and check for .0035 clearance withe the clutch released. If its not beaking over the clearance is to tight. it is possable someone has messed with the clutch linkage adjustment. it should be set to the correct lenght and left alone. I don't have a book handy to look it up now.

when you pull the hand clutch back does it hit the safty knock out device? it's the v shaped thing that the clutch handle slides between when ingaged. That might need to be adjusted.

The spring washer could also be going bad.

Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.

how big of a deal is it to replace the hand clutch, and is there a coupler to eliminate it?

Thank you all for your response to my question on the hand clutch. I used the advice of the explosives, not really. The hand clutch lever was adjusted to far forward.
