Does anyone know if there is any way to find out what number off the line a tractor was if I have the serial number? I would like to verify where in line my 1955 WD45 Diesel was manufactured.

I'm not sure if I know what you are asking but the serial #'s for 1955 WD45's were from 190993-217991 and of those there were 3319 diesels produced so depending on where your serial # falls in place you could get an idea of what part of the year it came out.

We are trying to find out where in  line it was produced. I have the serial number, but wondered if anyone knew where in the procession of serial numbers the diesels, specifically the tricycle front ends were manufactured.

Like my D17 D it was manufactured on the same assembly line as the  gas I believe. just what ever the order was. It is said that 1 in every 5 D17s were diesels. Don't think there is any record of the day and hour a certain tractor was made.

There were 599 narrow fronts and 21 single fronts that year.
