Getting ready to change the engine oil on my 7020. I thought I have read that the bypass can cause problems. Should I just change it as I usually do or should I block it off?
Thanks, Joe |

I changed my 7020 and N6 both to newer style spin on type. I had the old style on the 7020 blow the lid off once. You know when it happens , there is oil all over, but on a combine you don't know it till it is too late.

Run the engine a while to warm it up really good to change the oil and filters.....touch the bypass cannister and if it isn't hot, it isn't working anyway.

Put on new style spin on or block the old one off.

Block off the bypass filter and use the 74037047 tall oil filters, change oil and the filters at 100 hours. |
