Our 185 came with a turbo when we purchased it 9 years ago. Who else has a turbo on their 185. Has 18:4x40 rubber.

185's didn't come with turbo's, but some were added or engines swapped out. When you said 18.4 x 40 tires did you mean 30? We bought a new 185 1973? or about and it had 18.4 x 30's on it.

Yeah I know of a few that have added turbos and they sure make a mean tractor. They seem to hold together as far as I know.

Can you turbo a straight 301 without swapping pistons?? Do the factory 301 turbos have a wastegate?

Neighbore turbo'd a 180 chore tractor....ran for years but feed grinder was was heaviest load it saw but then again it did it daily. They always bragged how little fuel it used.Claimed the turbo made the difference. Only orange tractor they had. (purchased new)

Would the reason to want to turbo a 185 be for better fuel consumption? My 185 seems to have all of the power I need for a tractor of it's size.
