Topic: Allis Chalmers FP40 Forklift QuestionPosted: 2 hours 45 minutes ago at 10:52am |

Good Morning,
I recently acquired an Allis Chalmers FP40 from an auction. Start, runs, stops and drives as it should. It is currently set up to operate on propane. I don't have much for experience with this forklift. It has a 4 cylinder engine. I have not yet touched anything as far as maintenance goes. My Question: It seems a bit underpowered when off-road. It has a tough time making it up inclines, especially with a load. Is this normal? Is there anything maintenance wise I need to address? Or is this just how the machines are in general? Thank You |
