Mine broke today . Had this rake a very long time and I'd like to fix it . I always called it a potato rake . Rake head had a 1/2" by 2" long stud? that fits inside a split in the tapered end of the handle , then a rivet/bolt goes thru the metal ferrule , wood handle , and rake stud . Looked on-line but haven't come up with anything . Anyone know a good place to look ? Thanks !

Personally own one of those, was FILs where we inherited much of the garden tools, not looked to replace many handles but even a basic tine rake handle these days is a hard to find, but will gladly sell a New Chinese Knock Off rake.

Some of the older Ace Hardware stores carry a selection of handles.

Never found a handle like my old one . Just cut off the end of my broken handle , drilled a 1/2" center hole in the end and a 1/4 hole in the handle to line up with the hole in the handle end of the metal rake . Put a 1/4" bolt in and an ideal clamp around the end . It ain't pretty but neither am I . Thanks for everyone's input .

I just go to auctions and buy a bunch of broom, rake, pitch fork, etc. and take a good handle that I want and swap. You can usually get a whole handful for a buck. Get em home and take the ends off and toss them and save the handles for later.
