We are trying to put new toggle switches for the stadium lights into our 8550, looks like there is a sreel plate and then a plastic trim plate over top of it where the remote mirror and stadium light switches go. Son has the whole plate with the switches in it, out of the tractor, and we need to get the trim rings off the remote mirror switches, in order to get the plates separated and get at the nuts on the stadium light switches. Can someone tell me how those trim rings come off of the remote mirror switches? Thanks, Darrel

I just went thru that also...But I also could not get two screws out of the plate to get it loose from the console...soaked them good and went on the back side ( had roof off) and ground off the xtra and I guess with the heat of the grinding they came out....Broke the stadium switches off on the back side and pushed stem out...Saved the lock nuts in case it was smaller than the new and ground down an old faucet wrench...If you can get the plates separated, the hole in the plastic can be enlarged and the boot will cover... or whittled out if together...So I did not mess with the mirror switches. My thinking it looked like a need for a spanner tool??
