Hi all. I need some guidance on the variable speed on the Gleaner F. The variable speed pulley is rubbing on the inside bracket that holds the pulley assembly. What's the correct way to adjust it so that it's actually functioning properly?

Did you check your bearings?

Sounds like you have a bearing out letting shaft move to right side. MACK

Run VS to hi side.Adjust 5/8 cross bolt to where there is .120 clearance between top two pullies in bottom. Next run to low speed. Should be .120 clearance between lower two pullies at bottom. If not, pull the top shaft back as you rotate the shafts until you have the clearance at lower two pullies. If shafts and pullies are worn, this adjustment will not work out. Run VS to mid range. Measure top set of pullies front and back width. They should measure near the same. Do same to lower set. MACK
