The dealers all tell me they’ve been discontinued, and they can’t find any on their locator either. The muffler that is on it, is a Donaldson 264042—F. It has the aspirated air cleaner.

Check with Hammel Equipment in Chatfield MN, they have an 8010 in salvage that had the muffler I believe last time I saw it. 507-867-4910. Troy is the guy in salvage and I believe he is on the forum as well.

Put a Thomure muffler eliminater on it. Can't tell the difference in cab.... I just got a new exhaust pipe from them...almost got the impression they were fading out (getting old and quitting)

Steve Thormure has closed. I have put two eliminators on an 8050 and 8070. As Steve said no change in the cab noise wise. I can text you some pictures if you PM me your number. The 8010 would be different and I don't see one available online. But I would think if you took your muffler off and took it to a good muffler shop they can make one. I have an 8010 and will probably make my own eliminator when this muffler gives out. It's really just 3" exhaust pipe cut at several different angles to make the u-turn and then the right fitting for the turbo and a support on the end and aspirator tube.

Thomure is still selling exhaust parts. I just got my muffler eliminator this week from them for my 8050. It’s worth the call to see if they have one for an 8010

I will call them about their 8010 muffler. I also think I can Weld on a 3” long 3-1/2 pipe on my muffler and expand my 90 elbow to fit over it.
There are three - 3/8” bolts that hold a bracket to the back of the head. It holds up the back of the muffler. I am happy to report I got them out without twisting them off!!!!!🍀🙏🍀🙏🍀🙏 Thank you all. |

Mike Links, who posts on the Red Power board as 88 series restorer, (I think) bought Thromure's stuff and is selling it, for Red machines at least. Not sure if he has anything for other brands or not. I will do a little research and post back later today or tomorrow. Link to Mike's website. Edited by IBWD MIke - 26 Mar 2023 at 9:07am |

Well that makes sense. About a month ago buddy of mine called Thormure for an 8070 eliminator but was told they were closed up. He did find one from another vendor but don't remember who.
