I have an original used cover; it came off a 45D but I think they are all the same. $25.00 plus small flat rate box.

I picked up my fabricated generator cover up today and I’m pleased with it. They made it per my guessing measurements and the picture from my manual. I just need to drill some mounting holes.

Finally found several of these covers that I had replicated several years ago. They were done from an original. If still looking, let me know 563 357 2615  Can send pictures via text

It will have to be a diesel to have one. Gas versions had the air filter at the left rear of the engine.

My neighbor has an early 17, not sure if it's a diesel though.  I'll stop in and find out for sure, if so, I'll see if i can get some pics and dimensions, Smile

You do in fact have a late series 1, 1960.

He had already parted out the rest of the tractor and the shroud and grill was all he had left. I’m not sure about the WF, but as far as the power steering ,changes occurred several times over the series.

Sounds good, Robbie, thanks!  Maybe one will turn up on a tractor at a show, and perhaps the owner would be kind enough to let one of us get some measurements.  I believe mine is a '60 model, if I remember correctly.  Would you know if the wide fronts are different across the series of D17's, and between gas and diesel?  My wide front has been a little modified.

Apparently most were tossed aside but it’s actually a functional part that protects the generator. I didn’t get any response, I hope you do. If not, I will post what I am having made when it’s completed.

Did anyone find an original one of these, or be willing to take pics and measurements of one?  I could use one too, mine's gone.

I made a card board version and dropped it off to the machine shop. Just going by the partial picture from my manual. It won’t be original but it will be close enough.
