My F2 I bought has the bigger of the 2 chutes on the return grain where it dumps into feeder house. It's a 3 piece offset design. When I picked it up I didnt know owner had lift cylinder springs backed off and when I took the head off the feeder house went all the way down and tore up the chute on right side. Where it currently is I'm about maxed out cutting beans. Am I missing something here. Everything is in great shape but why on earth would they not of built that chute to allow feeder house to go all the way down? Is this normal? I can take pictures to see if I'm missing something or maybe someone cut it too short?? The rod goes through top piece through middle piece that floats and then into wood block at the bottom. Anyone have any input here for me. Thanks

Might have been built for 18.4 tires and you have 23.1 tires which are TALLER.

I think they are taller than 23.1 and were never offered by Gleaner.

Believe it or not my manual lists it in there for tire size. I was a little surprised myself. However I guess there just isn't enough travel to the chute to allow for that bigger tire. I have another chute coming from salvage yard because unfortunately the way I realized it over extended was when I raised it back up and heard it crunch. Maybe i can modify it by adding another center chute in the mix. Wonder if the L/M chute was alot larger? I really didnt consider tire size but I'm sure your correct. It probably adds several inches of travel to that.

Let me rephrase that. It is NOT listed as standard. It has a chart for load capacity increase.

Bracket that holds elevator at top gets bent up and pulls chute apart when let all the way down. MACK
