I wanted a B125 power unit. I put in a maximum bid amount b/c I couldn't get off work to attend the live auction and had to pay an online buyer premium and 2% internet user fees. However, I got the PU at nearly half of my max bid.
Proxibid's claim auctioneers don't see max bids before auction may be true:) I am thrilled. The engine/rad are going in my ib. However, if you need PU parts/starter bellhousing/540rpm reduction pto, send me a pm. (Harrisburg, PA). |

Does by chance the engine serial number start with CR?? Reason I ask is my CA has an engine in it that does start with CR and the only information I can find out about it is that most of the power unit serial numbers started with CR.In advance thank you

Yes. The PU engine serial # is "CR 49928 PA". The "C" is there - I should have cleaned off the crud better before taking photo.
I don't know what the "PA" after the serial # means, if anything. ![]() Edited by KMAG - 26 Apr 2022 at 4:31pm |

Many times, on various auction sites, I've gotten items for less than my maximum bid. I have faith in them. I am sure that if people started to getting the winning bid at the same figure as their maximum bid, then red flags would start to fly. Darrel

Congrats on your purchase!! Proxibid is the best, 'user friendly' online auction platform to use IMO as an auctioneer.
It is possible for auctioneers to be privy to max bids on Proxy, but they have strict rules governing the reason for Proxy to disclose them to the auctioneer. It must be a good reason why an auctioneer would need to know. |

If I remember right the PA denotes higher compression ratio for gasoline only operation (no distillate fuel). My WD and CA have it on the end of the engine serial number as well. I think the vast majority of engines were the higher compression ratio especially the later you got... Distillate became less and less popular over time vs. back in the 30s.
