O my, why not just build a ramp? Would me more comfortable to scale that way.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Interesting design. Should work great for someone who can't handle full steps but doesn't require a ramp. You did an outstanding job on those.

A ramp would have been 38’ long! Omaha won’t allow that size ramp in the front yard

Greg IV done similar. A lot of times here in the Ozarks the steep terrain won’t allow for a ramp to code.
I have built a couple with 3 switchbacks due to the terrain. You sure did nice work on this one.👍👍👍 |

Greg... my wife has trouble with 8-9 inch steps... That 4.5 inch would work great for her.. I did build a ramp in an enclosed porch area for the neighbor... Only had room for 10 to 1 slope so i did that...it is U shaped double back.... They love that also.... No "regulations" where i live.

The steps/risers look AWESOME !! It's the height of the handrails that have me giving a "double-take", in the pics they look to be 42" high ??
And there's no actual "gripping" for a hand to grab ??? Edited by FREEDGUY - 03 Mar 2022 at 5:42pm |

About stuff I did not fix-this is a State funded assistance program. We are not allowed to do ANY work, other than the spec sheet we bid on, without our program contact giving approval! That is so we don't come in low and then suggestively sell our way into a large project. If we do that we risk not being allowed to bid on future projects. Not all projects are in low income areas, but most are. There are lots of things one could improve on at most of these projects.
