Can  it be done without removing engine?
Got new rods and main bearings for the 170, and I find the rear main bearing doesn't want to be removed from engine without taking engine out  because of rear cast flange that is a 1 piece, unlike the older D17 with a tin plate over the lower half of flywheel  housing that can be removed to drop rear main.
 Any tips or tricks? Thanks
