well he's a CAR flipper so he's ignorant about tractors...and in his world 'pretty' means he can get big bucks for old iron.

heck I've got a 'good running' D-14 here and some guy offered me $200...My ad price is $2600, I thought he had fatfingeritis ans meant 2000. Nope, two hundred was his offer...

takes all kinds.

BTW that tractor 'could' have 5-6000 in parts and labour. doesn't justify the price tag  but contractor /handymen up here price is 3X materials.. so $10 2by4 nest $10 for labour and $10 profit.

What year did they start putting 4 bolt wide fronts on?? At least it has a curved gear shifter. I thought 1956/57 was the last of the 45's as the D17's came out in 1957. Andy

I think Andy is right.  I'm curious, in the close up of behind oil fill cap, does that look like a plate on a wd engine?   Just wondering...the other Andy

Why it is not a WD-45:

Picture 4 - WD seat assembly

Pict. 7 - pin hitch drawbar

Pict. 8 and 11 - plate behind distributer

Pict. 14 - no snap coupler release lever

Pict. 16 - not curved shifter, WD heated and bent

Some missing items: headlights, tail light, shifter and lever knobs,

That's a WD straight stick that has a kink in it. It's also a WD block and carb and air cleaner and manifold. False advertising. It is a WD.

There is a $21,000 series II D15 on my local Craigslist a few times each year. Maybe his wife says he has to sell and he tells here sorry no one is buying? Tom

Yep, I see the WD style plate bolted to the engine block. It also looks like it has the shorter style head and WD oil fill cap. Andy

Gary the first 2 years of WD45 was 3 bolt front end. But you are correct on the rest.

Also has the Mason jar precleaner like the WD my grandfather had. Did they have that on WD45s? I did always think that was neat maybe just because it was on grandpas tractor.

I think it's a kerosene manifold, and it doesn't even have the cover for it.

It’s not a kerosene manifold as the exhaust is on top, and it’s has a distributor conversion, plus last year was 1957.

That must be after market as neither the WD or WD45 came with that type of precleaner. But on that note a neighbor of mine has a rusty old Super C IH with that jar and he put a little John Deere tractor in ithe jar with a sign hanging saying something about a Deere eater.

If its's fully restored why does it not have a correct battery box, oil filter or the cover on the intake manifold.
I also agree it has a WD engine and front axle.

More like a 1948; not 1958. Has some kind of receiver hitch on it, and a fabricated lift arm thingy.   Maybe used for moving bumper pull trailers around.
