To put this in terms I kind of understand. The virus is like a spore just sitting on the door handle, and that is technically dead? But you get it on your hand and put it on your face. So now it is alive again to infect you?
Or am I still way off in the outfield, instead of headed for home plate? If that is the scientific way to look at it OK,but in my mind that is like saying a seed is dead. But I probably have the seed thing wrong to.

Maybe you're in a pickle between 2nd and 3rd!
A seed contains all of the instructions and materials it needs to begin growing a new plant, just needs moisture and nutrients, doesn't necessarily need another living thing in order to survive. Other than that, I guess your analogy isn't too far off. I agree, it is a gray area to a typical person's understanding. It is a complex organic thing, with proteins and such.....just can't live without help from a living thing. Crystal clear! |

Well said Dave. We really DO have a terminal disease, but it's one we enjoy.
For anyone out there, I pray you get well and keep safe everyone who hasn't gotten it. |
