Nice video (as always) Dennis. Got my 2 row together and working this spring, just need to figure out the correct length for the markers. I think the offset seat location of the WD complicates the setting. |

On a 2 row planter the marker should be set at 1-1/2 times the row spacing. So if the rows are set at 38” the marker should be set at 57” from the out side row.

Dennis,
Does that rule about setting the row markers (1.5x the row spacing) apply just to the WD or would it work for a CA also using a two row drill planter? Thanks very much for your video series.

That works for just about every planter made. For a 2 row it's 1.5 x row spacing, 4 row it's 2.5 x row spacing, 6 row it's 3.5 x row spacing, 8 row it's 4.5 x row spacing, 12 row it's 6.5 x row spacing and so on. |

I was thinking about you and your planter today. I have been planting around a creek on both sides, and 19 acres in 3 plots today. Feels like i have turned around a thousand times! And then i thought about how many times you would have turned around and pulled the marker rope! Then i thought, I HAVE IT MADE! Cold, windy, and i was sitting in a 8050.
Nice video, thanks for posting. Randy

I was planting field corn. The last 2 years I’ve been using that plot to shoot videos. Next year it will be small grain.
