I am looking for a set for a 6070 haying tractor. An off brand would be fine, don't want to spend a lot. Any recommendations would be welcome.

Good luck! I am watching this post with intrest. Changing to 30 inch wheels or go back to 16.9x28, may be the best solution.

Most 6070 tractors came with 16.9 34 tires. 18.4 28 tires are way too short, about 7 1/2 in dia. 18.4 30 tires are around 2 1/2 inches shorter.

Find a dealer that sells BKT brand tires. They are usually cheaper and I've had good luck with them.

1) Those tires are way too small one of 6080’s run 16.9x38’s the other two 18.4x34.
2) You get what you pay for in tires I’ve bought cheap tires and got cheap crappy tires. Buy Firestones and have something decent. |

New tires are expensive to buy, but you will not need to replace them in 2 or 3 years if you go with used tires. |

Thanks guys my 6070 is fwa and the front tires are 11.2 X 24 so I think I am going to have to keep the 18.4 X 28. The tires on it now are weird 18.4 X 15-28 the rim measures 17 outside to outside and 15 3/4 inside bead to inside bead. Alliance brand any suggestions? Thanks

rieg; 15x28 is the old designation that became 18.4x28. Some manufacturers, (maybe all) put both on tires for a time. Now they are switching over to metric measurements and I'm seeing something like 480x38, replaces 18.4x38.

Put Alliance on my 6080 ran them roughly 3 years they cracked like crazy took them off and put Firestone on much happier. Firestone also has better grip. |

BKT and Alliance are comparable. The TR135 is a cheap tire, you get into the radials on both and the quality is way better on both brands. I was selling Alliance 20.8 radials $600 per tire cheaper than Firestone’s.

I have a pair of 18.4X28 Firestones that I’d sell. I’m in Maryland, very near Gettysburg, Pa.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |
