went out to move the flatbed pickup back to the big shed out back and bring the big boy truck up front. the battery was dead on the flatbed truck...weird...cuz I just drove it the other day. opened the hood and right there in the front drivers side area was a MASSIVE squirrel nest. PffffT! it had chewed thru a whole wiring loom, the serpentine belt and other wires on the engine! %&#($!^#@&*! cleaned it all out, and jump started it, it started, but I don't have any lights. laid a pack of moth balls in there, dunno if that will help any now. I never had that happen before!

It could of been worse Winkhad a pair of dogs trap a squrrel in the engine compartment of the old 1960 C60 truck. By pulling on anything they could get there teeth in they broke spark plugs and all the wires where pulled apart.Angry And the squrrel got away in the end anyway. Most of a day job patching thing back up.Ouch

We had a squirrel here... ONE squirrel... living in the trees on the west side of the lot... for oh, mebbie three seasons.  I don't think he made it thorugh the winter- no sign of him.  Probably fed an owl or an eagle.  The problem I DO have here, is mice and raccoons... Angry
Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.

Seems the wiring insulation now used is a soy based material and a favorite of red Squirrles - neighbors car parked in the garage became lunch while he was gone for a month .
Out in his shed the red squirrels were a problem also so has that loaded with traps for both them and mouse traps - water buckets baited with peanut butter on a hanging disc .
Life lesson: If you’re being chased by a lion, you’re on a horse, to the left of you is a giraffe and on the right is a unicorn, what do you do? You stop drinking and get off the carousel.
