What is impressive is Charlie mowed that chest high orchard grass at 11:30 am tuesday morning. Hit it with the Enrossi Tedder 4different times and we baled it the following day at 4:30 pm. Beautiful hay. The new Tedder has produced incredible results. Nice sunny day and light wind helped as well. It was so thick we had to bale in 1st lo on the 190 so he could keep up on the wagon. Was in 1st high for awhile until I saw him struggling! Lol.

You all must not have gotten nearly as much rain as we have been getting.Definitely no hay making weather on this side of the mountain.

I think we had 7 inches in May? Lucked out this week, low humidity helped out greatly.

You ran the tedder over it 4 times? Wow, I never woulda thought. Can you do that with alfalfa, or would it knock too many leaves off?

Can't do that with Alfalfa, the leaves with come off.
We mowed it, then a few hours later ran the tedder. Then again the next morning and then afternoon Only 3 times I think, my brother is old than I and forgets sometimes.... Hard to believe it came up the day after cutting it.

I like your equipment, especially that XT. You guys have any cows, or just sell the hay. Tim

Dad had sold some off but there are only 9 left. We keep enough for winter feeding and sell the rest. First cutting goes in the barn, usually sell 2nd and 3rd cutting as it brings more money. Dad had a small farm, only 29 acres, but we lease some ground also. All 3 brothers work so I guess you can say we are hobby farmers. It’s in our blood and we enjoy it. Used to do corn and alfalfa but we pretty much gave those up in favor of orchard grass hay.

I might add when we were all younger we used to farm 200 acres, the good ole days. Barley, wheat, rye, corn, alfalfa. D-15 and 6060 did it all in those days. Charlie and I both have 190XT’s, he has a multitude of other nice AC’s from D-10 and up. D series are a favorite. The XT is great for making hay.

Those 190's would run a rotary hay rake real nice. I've had a Vicon Andex for like 5 years now. Because they lift up, you can do some really creative raking. So don't demo one, or you'll have to have it. lol Tim
