Has anyone converted from 5 lug to 6 lug front wheels on a D17? Will be installing a loader.

We did and we used the six hole hub off
of a junked model 100 combine. Worked good for us. John Carlson |

Still need help here. Just looking at the Agco parts book the spindle diameter is larger at 1.625 on the 6 lug as opposed to 1.5 on the 5 lug. It appears that I would need different rims, hubs and spindles but can not determine if the 6 bolt spindles would fit the 5 bolt axle.

I changed my 5 bolt for six when I put a loader on my D17 series 3. Had to change the spindles and hubs and rims. Yes the 6 bolt spindle will fit the 5 bolt axle. They fit on my tractor , should fit on yours.

Thanks Pete. Just ordered everything and your response affirms that it will work. The Agco parts book is very helpful and I wish that I could have returned the favor by ordering from them but apparently they aren't positioned or interested in the old Allis parts business.
